At the recent Sport Card Expo in Toronto, I, Doctor Collectible, partnered with Topps Ripped for an exciting giveaway that gave one lucky participant the opportunity to showcase their collection on Topps Ripped. A huge congratulations to Fast Eddie, known as @fast.eddie.collectibles on Instagram, for earning this incredible chance to share his passion for collecting with the world. Eddie’s collection is truly one of a kind, filled with unique and inspiring pieces that reflect his dedication to The Hobby. Let’s check it out.

What kind of collector are you?

I consider myself both a collector and a buyer/flipper. Ripping packs of sports cards gives me an incredible rush—an escape from life that brings back the carefree feeling of childhood. It’s pure nostalgia, just me and the hobby I love. That feeling is what makes me a collector at heart.

What sets you apart in The Hobby?

I love livestreaming as a way to bring the community together. I started doing breaks at my kitchen table, turning my passion for The Hobby into a real business. My goal is to be the best in my community and to bring value to the world of collecting.

What is Staxx Collecting?

Staxx Collecting is a repackaging company dedicated to building success in the hobby I love. It’s not just about making money—it’s about doing what I’m passionate about every day. For me, it’s the perfect ecosystem, feeding both my loves for buying and flipping.

Why the name Fast Eddie?

It comes from a friend and it stuck with me one day. I always moved fast paced in whatever I do. I have a determination to be great but now I’ve learned being patient is helpful in many ways.

What’s a card in your collection that means the most to you and the story behind it?

I sold the majority of my collection because to put everything into my sports card business. That how much I believe in the process. I put hard work, sweat, and equity into The Hobby, which I know will come back to me. I want to be in a situation where I can buy whatever I want and to collect what I love. But Lebron James patches is what I have left and keep in my collection.
