2025 Topps Finest Football features a loaded rookie class and an array of chase cards from the NFL’s best players and top legends. Perhaps no NFL superstar has the staying power of the GOAT, though. Tom Brady continues to hold a place at the very top of The Hobby, and his inclusion in 2025 Topps Football releases has created one of the biggest chases of the year.

Already, one of the best cards in the entire 2025 Finest set has been unearthed. Brady’s highly coveted Finest SuperFractor 1-of-1 was pulled by brand-new collector Tyler Lavigne after taking home some boxes from high-end Miami Hobby shop Collectors Club.

Here’s the story of a chase card and how it brought a new collector into The Hobby.

Tyler Lavigne only started collecting cards a couple weeks ago, but as he told RIPPED, he knew it was for him right away. “I went and bought my first couple boxes on a Friday — some soccer, a Bowman Baseball, and a box of Finest. I ripped them open. It was exhilarating. I absolutely loved it. I felt like I was a kid again.”

Then, the very next day, Lavigne stopped by his LCS, Collectors Club in Wynwood, Miami.

“I left a dinner and stopped by the shop,” he said. “I liked the Topps Finest the most, so I put a box on the counter. They rung it up and I truly don’t know why, but I asked for another box.”

Call it intuition, call it superstition, call it luck, but as Lavigne explained, “When I paid, I kept them organized because I wanted to know which was which. Mentally, I just felt, there’s going to be something in that second box.”

He wasn’t wrong.

“‘I’m a big soccer guy, so I woke up to watch the games,” Lavigne said. “I opened the first box, and then, in that second box, I didn’t even really know what I pulled. I didn’t notice that it was a one-of-one. I just saw a gold Tom Brady card. Then, in the corner, I saw the number. I took a picture and sent it to my friend.”

Lavigne’s friend quickly conveyed the significance of that Brady pull. “He said, ‘Dude, I don’t think you understand what just came out of that box,” Lavigne said. “That’s a nuke of a card.”

Indeed, the card was one of the most sought-after in the entire set — a Tom Brady SuperFractor.

Collectors Club has been open for a year and a half. “We’re in Wynwood, in the heart of Miami,” owner Alex Aleksandrovski explained to RIPPED. “There’s a ton of collectors.”

The shop prides itself on offering a premium experience. With elegantly designed card presentation, including stunning high-end vertical cases, Collectors Club carries something for everyone and prides itself on its top-tier inventory.

In addition to a stunning shop floor, Collectors Club offers unique events, a lounge bar, and a beautiful outdoor space. “People can come in, relax, have a drink, and open up packs,” Aleksandrovski said. “It’s a great atmosphere.”

For Aleksandrovski, it’s always a thrill to see a big pull from his shop. “For Tyler, you can call it beginner’s luck, a great introduction to The Hobby,” he said. “But when it happens, it’s just the best thing ever. It’s like rooting for a home team.”

On top of it all, Alex runs AGS, a grading company that offers in-house grading services. “Here, you can get your card graded in five minutes.”

Lavigne submitted his Brady Finest card, and the grading process was shown recently on the Collectors Club Instagram.

Lucky though he may have been, Lavigne considers this merely the beginning of his Hobby journey. He’s begun to immerse himself in different Hobby spaces, both at Collectors Club and in the online world. He’s already begun to expand his collection, and he plans to enter the space himself.

“I want to try and start up a Hobby brand, like a common man’s Hobby guy,” he told RIPPED. “I want to open boxes, show people what I’m getting. If there’s cards I want to sell, I’ll sell them, but I’m going to hold on to some of my bigger cards and build my collection. I have a Caleb Williams FrozenFractor that I want to keep. I’m a Giants fan, so I’ve got a bunch of Jaxson Dart.”

Lavigne also plans to engage other collectors and become part of the community. “I’m in the process of packaging my base cards to give away to kids, help get them into The Hobby as well.”

One thing is clear after Lavigne’s big pull: He wants to pay it forward. “I believe in giving back when you receive something so generous from the universe,” he said. “Ultimately, my goal is to help grow The Hobby and stay in it for the love of the game.”
