Hobby Cards and Baseball
Hobby wouldn’t be anywhere without Baseball cards. In fact, the oldest known surviving card – The Brooklyn Atlantics Team Card – pre-dates the American Civil war, believed to be distributed around 1860! Moving into the 1900’s and Baseball cards gained greater popularity when they where more commonly know as cigarette and bubble gum cards. Fast forward to today and baseball cards are bigger than ever (minus the unhealthy stuff, of course) and remains the most popular, and the most valuable, sport to collect.
As such, getting started with Baseball Cards can be a bit of a minefield. Do you know your ‘Refractor’ from your ‘Rookie Card’? Do you know your ‘1st Bowman’ from your ‘Book Card’? Not to worry, we’ve got a whole bunch of articles and videos to get you started..
