When did Card Express open?
Card Express opened in 1991. We’re one of the earliest cards shop in Hong Kong.
Why did you want to open a card shop?
Card Express is a family business. At our family-run shop, we wanted to create a space where collectors and enthusiasts feel like they’re part of our family. Our passion for cards and collecting has always been a shared experience, and we believe that every visit should feel warm and welcoming. By treating our customers like family, we aim to foster a sense of community, where everyone can share their love for The Hobby and connect. Our shop isn’t just a place to buy and sell cards; it’s a home for all who share this passion.
How did you get into The Hobby?
My Uncle first introduced me to sports card and my father gave me his collection to start my PC. The story begins…
What makes you the most excited about The Hobby?
Without a doubt, when my customers pull a great card from our shop: Messi 1/1, Yamal 1/1, etc.
What are your plans for Topps Hobby Rip Night?
We want to have an unforgettable for longtime Hong Kong collectors and attract newbies into The Hobby. We have a luxury entrance gift that includes a Rip Night bag, Match Attax packs, International Day packs, Topps Chrome Basketball boxes, stickers, Rip Night flags, a Rip Night playmat, and more.
This will be a great chance to introduce different sports to collectors. We have breaks of different sports—soccer, football, tennis, basketball, and baseball—every hour. We’ll also have influencers, celebrities, and Hong Kong football stars breaking. It’s all about having fun together!
