Topps Project70® Card 529 – 2000 Roger Clemens by Joshua Vides /51
Joshua Vides has had his hand in designing for numerous brands, including Bathing Ape and Puma. The creative genius flaunts a distinct, cartoonish style, which he imprinted on the Topps Project70® Card 529 – 2000 Roger Clemens by Joshua Vides /51. This is a beauty of a card that was an online exclusive featuring Clemens in his Yankees uniform. Its print run is extremely low at 51. While it’s not necessarily impossible to find, it’s certainly not the easiest card to track down, especially in top condition.
2008 Topps #105 Roger Clemens
The 2008 Topps #105 Roger Clemens is Clemens’ final Topps base card as a player. Though released following his last season in 2007, “The Rocket” never officially retired, which gave way to him being included in the 2008 Topps base set. In his last campaign, the superstar pitcher recorded a 6-6 record. Not too shabby for a 44-year-old on the mound against players who could’ve been his kids.
2007 Topps Moments & Milestones #162 Roger Clemens /29
The 2007 Topps Moments & Milestones set is a 193-card set featuring mostly veterans and highlights some of the monumental moments in players’ career. After returning following a brief retirement, Clemens lit up the MLB in 2004, becoming the oldest player to win a Cy Young at 41 — his seventh time winning the award — and taking his place as second behind Nolan Ryan in career strikeouts. A legendary season by all accounts. Oh, and this card has a limited print run of 29. Happy Hunting!
1993 Finest #104 Roger Clemens Refractor
There were three different versions of Clemens cards in 1993 Finest, with the Refractor being the most coveted. And rightfully so. One out of every nine packs featured a refractor, making these extremely hard to come by.
1991 Topps Desert Shield #530 Roger Clemens
We’ve featured a ton of Topps Desert Shield cards in our “Cards to Collect” series, and guess what? Here’s another one: the 1991 Topps Desert Shield #530 Roger Clemens. These cards were primarily distributed to soldiers in Kuwait, limiting the print run to 6,800. Peep the Red Sox’s strikeouts King (2,590), Clemens, standing next to the strikeout sign. Quite fitting, eh?
