Then, Now, Forever. Together
WWE Through the Eras
Throughout its history, WWE has reached incredible heights of success. The 1980s saw Hulkamania’s rise, leading to the global phenomenon known as WrestleMania. The New Generation made the likes of Shawn Michaels and Bret “Hit Man” Hart household names. And who can forget the epic Attitude Era and the Monday Night War, where WWE and rival World Championship Wrestling duked it out on Monday nights, seeking rating dominance? Following the WWE/WCW merger, the Ruthless Aggression Era introduced the WWE Universe to Mr. Ruthless Aggression himself, sixteen-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Finally, the WWE Universe entered what became known as the PG Era.
Topps and the Modern WWE
As successful as each of those periods was, WWE’s current period—which, as she stood in the center of the ring at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, former WWE executive Stephanie McMahon called the “Paul Levesque Era” in tribute to her husband WWE Chief Creative Officer aka Triple H—has made the company the most successful it’s ever been.
At the dawn of 2025, WWE has taken over the world by hosting premium live events from every corner of the Earth, selling out arenas all over the globe, and running its programming on the world’s biggest streaming services.
Millions of members of the WWE Universe tune in every week to see the latest chapters in the Bloodline story, witness their favorite Superstars like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Seth “Freakin’” Rollins, Jade Cargill, and Rhea Ripley dominate in the ring, and feel the electricity as top athletes go at it in the squared circle.
Outside the ring, the stock price of WWE’s parent company, TKO (who also owns sister combat sports organization UFC), has never been higher. WWE Superstars can be seen in major movies and television shows. This has meant a time of extreme fun and unforgettable experiences for the WWE Universe.
2025 Topps Chrome WWE
Also, at the beginning of 2025, WWE trading cards will return to Topps. Topps has been a longtime tag team partner of WWE and is proud to be reuniting during the sports entertainment giant’s period of incredible growth.
If you’re unfamiliar with Topps’ WWE cards, you first need to know that these aren’t your grandpa’s wrestling cards. They’ve come a long way since being wrapped in waxed paper with an even waxier stick of gum included in each pack. WWE cards today are a way to take a piece of sports entertainment excitement home with you, enhancing your memories of your favorite Superstars and moments.
What member of the WWE Universe wouldn’t be thrilled to find a card autographed by “Main Event” Jey Uso or another containing a piece of the ring mat from when Cody Rhodes finished the story and won the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL? There are one-of-a-kind chase cards featuring WWE legends like Hulk Hogan and “The Final Boss” The Rock, as well as a whole rainbow of variant cards that feature a different color border surrounding your incredible images of in-ring action.
At a time when WWE is perhaps the hottest it’s ever been and has become something that generations of fans share, the new Topps WWE trading cards—beginning with 2025’s WWE Topps Chrome line—provide a new conduit for the WWE Universe to engage with their favorite Superstars and the unforgettable moments that only WWE provides.
Topps WWE trading cards put the “Together” in WWE’s motto “Then, Now, and Forever. Together.”
