The Match Attax Extra 2024/25 collection has arrived, bringing a fresh batch of exciting cards for collectors to hunt.
In this article, we’ll dive into the five rarest chase cards of the set, giving you a closer look at what makes them so special and what to look out for when you’re opening packs!
5. Player Worn Jersey Relic Cards
At number five, let’s start with these incredibly unique cards that contain a real piece of a player’s football shirt. Pull one of these, you’ve got a genuine piece of history in your hands. 4. Autograph Jumbo Relic Cards

1. THE GOAT Lionel Messi Card
OK, the final card topping our list is crazy. Messi cards are the ultimate chase, not just for Match Attax Extra, but card collecting in general! This beautifully designed card pays homage to Messi during his Barcelona days, and cements him as what we all know he is – the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T)!
Interestingly, it comes in two versions. The ‘Ultra Rare’ which is 1 in every 450 packs, and the parallel ‘Mega Ultra Rare’ which is just 1 in every 1800 packs! If you’re lucky enough to pull it, you can determine which version you have by looking on the back (as it will say which rarity you have), but also the rarer parallel version has a stunning Barcelona club badge background to it.
