UCC Chrome Cards to Chase
TOPPS Chrome UEFA Club Competitions collectors can chase what every footballer on the European stage is ultimately chasing: the iconic European Cup or Coupe des Clubs Champions Européens as the trophy reads. This 1/1, built out on superfractor chrome technology, is appearing for the first time in the seven-year history of UCC Chrome. And there can only be one winner.
In addition to chasing history, 2023/24 is shaping up to be a great year to chase the top rookies in the set. Right at the top of the class? None other than 17-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal. His meteoric rise at 5-time UEFA Champions League winners FC Barcelona was somehow only the appetizer for a main course that saw Yamal play a leading role in Spain’s record fourth UEFA EURO title in Germany this summer. From first team debut to certified heir apparent to Messi’s throne in less than fifteen months, Lamal’s rookie base has an auto variation, and he can be found on inserts such as Wonderkids and the newly-minted Hobby Masters.
Beyond Lamal, Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola gets his Chrome debut, as does his teammate Ethan Mbappé (younger brother of Kylian). Looking for a possible sleeper? Go chasing for 16-year AC Milan wonderkid Francesco Camarda, the future face of Italian soccer, and the youngest debutant in Serie A History, when he came off the bench for AC Milan at only 15 years and 260 days of age.
New inserts bring new chases for UCC Chrome collectors, and there’s real excitement around TIFO, a new and rare insert that uses custom artwork to capture the spirit of the stadium and the player. Other highlights include short-printed Hobby Masters featuring ten of Europe’s best (including Lamal, Messi, Kane, Haaland) featured on a pearlescent, minimalist design, and White Noise, a rare case hit featuring players who defy the odds.
Then there’s the striking, refined design of Shadow Etch, a chase set making its debut this year. With one per case on average, the insert features some of the true elite of the game’s modern history, including Lionel Messi.
UCC Chrome’s interactive collecting experience, The Grail, continues in this release. Documenting the legendary career of Christiano Ronaldo, collectors can continue to chase these ultra-rare grail cards. Two grail cards appear in today’s release.
