Among the many highlights of the Topps Team Set Liverpool 2024/25 release are the chase cards, which include an incredible range of autograph cards, relics, autograph relics, and unique case hits.
These cards not only offer fans the chance to own pieces of Liverpool FC’s history but also provide a thrilling pursuit for collectors looking to complete their set.
Let’s dive into the key chase cards you can expect to find in this year’s Liverpool Team Set.
Pathway Inserts
One of the most sought-after chase cards in this release is the Pathway insert. Limited to just 1 in 2 cases, these cards are a nod to the journey of Liverpool legends.
The Pathway cards showcase the progression of a player’s Liverpool career, from their early days to their rise to greatness. The design captures a sense of evolution, depicting three images of the player: a youthful shot, a celebratory moment, and a final, mature representation of their legendary status.
Keep your eyes peeled for legends of the game in this subset, such as Steven Gerrard, Ian Rush, and Sir Kenny Dalglish.
Rainbow Flick
The Rainbow Flick card takes the slow reveal of case hits on box breaks to a new level, with it’s eye-catching, colourful design. A case hit featuring 30 different subjects, both past and present, the Rainbow Flick card takes its inspiration from the iconic football skill: the rainbow flick.
The design emphasizes the player in motion, often showing the fluidity of the skill with rainbow colours splashing across the card. There are some of the best showstoppers of all time to collect in this set, including Mohamed Salah, Fernando Torres, and Luis Suárez; not forgetting two of Liverpool’s most exciting young talents of today, rookies Trey Nyoni and Jayden Danns.
1797 Coat of Arms
The 1797 Coat of Arms insert is the pinnacle of the set in terms of rarity. These one-of-one cards feature a unique design inspired by the 1797 Liverpool coat of arms.
The checklist of 10 Liverpool greats, including the highly rated rookie, Jayden Danns who will be hoping he can reach a similar status, are as follows: Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fernando Torres, Michael Owen, Sir Kenny Dalglish, Luis Suárez, Darwin Núñez, and Mohamed Salah.
Relics & Autograph Relics: Live the Story
In addition to the base card autographs, there are several other variations to chase; the Anfield Beat Autograph and Bona Fide Baller Autographs. However, for those who prefer to collect physical pieces of history, the Relics and Autograph Relics provide an exciting opportunity. The Anfield Beat Relics feature a piece of memorabilia from a match-worn kit, providing a tangible connection to the players.
In this year’s Liverpool Team Set, Topps are beginning to provide collectors with memorabilia that tells a story. For example, the relic pieces contained in the Jayden Danns Anfield Beat Relic card AND the one-of-one My Club Autograph Relic card are cut from the actual match-worn jersey from the 2023/24 League Cup final game in which Liverpool defeated Chelsea 1-0. Danns entered the field in the 87th minute while the game was still 0-0, before playing as a striker throughout extra time, helping Liverpool win the game at depth; a Virgil van Dijk header in the 118th minute.
The My Club Autograph Relics, as mentioned above, are the standout offering. The Liverpool Team Set in 2024/25 offers 19 different auto relic subjects, each with a relic piece taken from the Liverpool crest, and an autograph sticker. Each My Club Autograph Relic is a one-of-one and comes with gilded gold foil edges, adding a layer of luxury and rarity.
