Los Angeles and Minnesota’s Best Cards
Week 8 of Thursday night football is upon us, and it should be a good one. We’re hot off Minnesota’s first loss of the season, and they’re lining up across from a Los Angeles team that’s getting back Cooper Kupp from injury. The big question for Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles offense is whether Kupp will be on a snap count, and even if he isn’t – how well can the offense do against Minnesota, which has been one of the top defensive units in the league this year.
Now, Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson (and possibly Jordan Addison and a returning TJ Hockenson) should eat and eat well against a Los Angeles defense ranking near the bottom of the league. If they don’t – will it be an indictment on Sam Darnold‘s resurgence? Or are we feeling good about Minnesota’s chances this week, no matter what?
And what about the Cooper Kupp trade rumors? Is Los Angeles rebuilding in real time, or can they turn it around in the second half of the season like they did last year and make the playoffs?
