The Super Bowl of the sports cards and collectibles is upon us.
The 44th annual National Sports Collectors Convention gets underway tomorrow at the I-X Center in Cleveland. Doors open for general admission attendees on Wednesday at 4 p.m., with the show floor closing at 8 p.m.
The convention will run on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will wrap up on Sunday with hours being 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
VIP package holders have access to the show floor 30 minutes earlier than general admission people each day. VIP tickets are sold out.
After the show floor closes on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, there will be official Trade Nights at the convention center. In the past, Trade Night has been just a one-evening event.
Huge crowds are expected for the five-day event after a record-breaking 100,000 collectors attended last year’s event in Rosemont, Illinois.
The 500,000-square-foot venue will house over 600 dealers, a record-setting 140-plus companies conducting live breaks in the Breakers Pavilion, an Autograph Pavilion with over 150 signers, and a massive corporate presence. The show has it all.
The last time The National was in Cleveland was in 2018 when it had 505 dealers set up. This year marks the eighth time the show has been held at the I-X Center.
