Comic Con Takesover NYC
It’s one of the most wonderful times of the year in pop culture. New York Comic Con is nearly here, and as usual, Topps Ripped has a ton going on to celebrate the event, both in person on the show floor and digitally in the Topps collectible apps. Whether you’re attending the event personally or following along at home, there are plenty of ways to get involved and take advantage of some awesome surprises.
On the digital side of things, fans can get free coins in Disney Collect!, Marvel Collect!, and Star Wars™: Card Trader during the days of NYCC, from October 17 to October 20. There will also be a range of giveaways over the next few days, so stay tuned on Topps Digital social media pages for info. And, of course, NYCC means new content releases.
Marvel fans can enjoy a new Tier 7 Comic Blue ‘24 Base Variant with NYCC Base Variant & Convention Commuters, available in the app starting October 16, at 4:30 PM EST. And if you’re a Star Wars™ fan, there’s much more to get excited about. In addition to NYCC Crystal deals and free credits in the Star Wars™: Card Trader app, four new collectible releases are coming throughout the weekend.
The NYCC Set & Base Variant will arrive in the app at 10:30 AM EST on October 17, followed at 2:00 PM by a new Comic Pop! mini set featuring your favorite characters from The Acolyte. Then, at 2:00 PM on Friday, get ready for new NYCC Comic Covers featuring Doctor Aphra, Darth Vader, and more. Lastly, a new Masked Edition of Speed Paintings arrives at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 19. Watch beloved characters like Sabine Wren take shape before your eyes with these special Motion Cards, painted by the extraordinarily talented Daniel Govar.
Games and giveaways are going on all weekend at the Topps Factory in Booth 1653 for those attending the show in person. Show your Disney Collect!, Marvel Collect!, or Star Wars™:
