FAQ

  • What cards will be eligible for the MVP buyback offer?
    • The National Football League announced Matthew Stafford as the 2025 season MVP. His 2025 Topps Chrome base and base parallel cards will be eligible for the buyback program. For a full list of the eligible cards, see the table above.
  • Will any other players’ cards be eligible for the buyback program?
    • No. Only Matthew Stafford’s 2025 Chrome Cards will be eligible for buyback.
  • When will the buyback program start and end?
    • The Chrome Football MVP Buyback Program will begin on the release date of 2025 Chrome Football and will end roughly 3 months later.
  • Where can I redeem my Buyback Cards?
    • To redeem your buyback cards, bring your eligible cards to a participating hobby shop, listed above on the Store Locator— or you can mail your cards to one of our three authorized mail-in partners.
  • What will I receive in exchange for my cards? Can I get cash?
    • When you bring your cards into your hobby shop, you will receive store credit in exchange – not cash. The amount of store credit is determined by the pricing table above. If you mail your cards to an authorized mail-in partner, you will receive online credit to the associated retailer account.
  • How do I determine the buyback value of my numbered cards?
    • It’s very simple and is based on the type of card. Base Cars will receive $20 of credit, non-numbered refractors will fetch $40 of credit, cards numbered to 100 or above will receive $100, and cards numbered lower than 100 will receive $200 of credit.   • Can I redeem my cards if I don’t live near a participating hobby shop?
    • Yes, you can. Topps has partnered with three authorized mail-in partners who will be accepting mailed-in eligible MVP Buyback cards for in-store or online credit. More details to come once the program begins.
  • Is there a limit to the number of cards I can redeem for store credit?
    • While there isn’t an official limit, each hobby shop will have the discretion to cap the number of cards they buy back.
  • Do the cards have to be in mint condition?
    • Cards do not need to be in mint condition. Ripped or altered cards will not be accepted for the buyback program, but as long as your card is in one piece, it will be eligible.
  • I run a hobby shop and want to participate – how can I?
    • If you are a hobby shop in the US or Canada and would like to become a Topps Certified Buyback Shop, please reach out to toppsbuyback@fanatics.com for more information.
