FAQ

• What cards will be eligible for the MVP buyback offer?
  • The National Basketball Association will announce the 2025/26 season KIA MVP in the Spring of 2026. After that happens, the 2025 Topps Chrome base and base parallel cards will be eligible for the buyback program. For a full list of the eligible cards, see the table above.
• If the MVPs haven’t been decided yet, what cards should I be collecting now? How do I know what to collect?
  • That’s the exciting part! Starting today, you should start collecting players you think could win the MVP. When you open a box of 2025 Chrome Basketball, be sure to collect any player you think might win the award. If they do, you’ll have the option to exchange those cards for store credit after the MVP is determined. And if they don’t win the award…well, you’ll still have an awesome card collection.
• Will any other players’ cards be eligible for the buyback program?
  • No. Only select cards for the 2025/26 KIA MVP will be eligible for buyback.
• When will the buyback program start and end?
  • The Chrome Basketball MVP Buyback Program will begin shortly after the NBA announces the 2025/26 MVP in Spring 2026 and will end roughly 3 months later. Shops should not accept MVP buyback trade-ins prior to the official program start date. This page will update with more exact details once the MVP is announced.
• Where can I redeem my Buyback Cards?
  • To redeem your buyback cards, bring your eligible cards to a participating hobby shop, listed above on the Store Locator— or you can mail your cards to one of our three authorized mail-in partners.  
• What will I receive in exchange for my cards? Can I get cash?
  • When you bring your cards into your hobby shop, you will receive store credit in exchange – not cash. The amount of store credit is determined by the pricing table above. If you mail your cards to an authorized mail-in partner, you will receive online credit to the associated retailer account. 
• How do I determine the buyback value of my numbered cards?
  • It’s very simple. All MVP cards that are numbered greater than /100 will fetch $100 in credit. All numbered cards less than /100 will fetch $200 in credit. Thus, for /399, /299, /275, /199, or /150, the buyback offer is $100. For /99, /75, /50, /25, /12, /10, /8, /5, /-5, /2 or /1 cards, the buyback offer is $200. 
• Can I redeem my cards if I don’t live near a participating hobby shop?
  • Yes, you can. Topps has partnered with three authorized mail-in partners who will be accepting mailed-in eligible MVP Buyback cards for in-store or online credit. More details to come once the program begins.
• Is there a limit to the number of cards I can redeem for store credit?
  • While there isn’t an official limit, each hobby shop will have the discretion to cap the number of cards they buy back.
• Do the cards have to be in mint condition?
  • Cards do not need to be in mint condition. Ripped or altered cards will not be accepted for the buyback program, but as long as your card is in one piece, it will be eligible.
• What happens if the MVP winner is not included in the base set of 2025 Chrome?
  • If the MVP winner does not have base or base parallel cards in the 2025 Chrome Basketball release but does appear a Chrome continuity product with base or base parallel cards, those cards will become eligible for buyback redemption at the same store credit values listed above. This contingency applies only if the MVP does not have any eligible buyback cards in the original 2025 Chrome Basketball base checklist.

• EMEA Terms & Conditions
  • Promoter: Topps Europe Limited, company number 02673753, whose registered office is at C/O Corporation Service Company (Uk) Limited, 5 Churchill Place, 10th Floor, London, United Kingdom, E14 5HU (“we”, “us”, “our”).
  • Promotion: an eligible Topps Buyback Promotion (“Buyback Promotion”) run from time to time by the Promoter, which offers eligible participants the opportunity to redeem certain trading cards for a fixed value store or online store credit in accordance with these rules of the promotion (“Rules”).
  • Participants agree to be bound by these Rules. Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Buyback Promotion on the Topps website at topps.com (“Website”) form part of the Rules.
  • 1. Eligibility
  • 1.1. Buyback Promotions are open to individuals aged 13 years or over who are the owner of the Eligible Card (as defined in Section 3 below) (“Participant/s”).
  • 1.2. Participants aged under 18 must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before participating in a Buyback Promotion and, by taking part, are deemed to have obtained such consent.
  • 1.3. You may be required to provide proof of age or parental/guardian consent at any time. If such proof cannot be provided upon request, the Participant may be disqualified or deemed ineligible to receive the Redemption Credit (as described in Section 5 below).
  • 2. Promotion Periods
  • 2.1. A Buyback Promotion will commence and run for a fixed period (the “Promotion Period”), which for each Buyback Promotion will be confirmed and published on the dedicated Buyback Promotion webpage on the website (“Buyback Promotion Webpage”) and communicated via any participating partners and marketing channels.
  • 3. Eligible Cards
  • 3.1. A full list of Eligible Cards and their associated redemption credit values (“Redemption Credit”) will be published and maintained on the dedicated Buyback Promotion Webpage.
  • 3.2. “Eligible Cards” are authentic trading cards issued by Topps that have been designated by us as part of the Buyback Promotion. Other cards will not be reimbursed.
  • 4. Redemption Process
  • 4.1. Participants may redeem Eligible Cards for a fixed Redemption Credit value as set out on the Buyback Promotion Webpage.
  • 4.2. Redemptions may be made:
  • 4.2.1. in-store at participating retail locations, with such available locations listed on the Buyback Promotion Webpage; or
  • 4.2.2. via postal submission to Topps’ e-comm distributor partners which can be found on the Buyback Promotion Webpage, using the mail-in redemption form which can also be found on the Buyback Promotion Webpage.
  • 4.3. Redemption is available regardless of where the Eligible Card was originally purchased. 
  • 4.4. We, and our partners on our behalf, shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect ourselves against fraudulent or invalid participation including, without limitation, to require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity, age and other relevant details of a Participant.
  • 5. Redemption Credit
  • 5.1. “Redemption Credit” will be provided as a fixed-value store credit and/or online voucher.
  • 5.2. The Redemption Credit will be provided as credit at the relevant store or e-comm distributor partner.
  • 5.3. Redemption Credit is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash.
  • 6. Conditions
  • 6.1. Participants who collect an Eligible Card are in no way obliged to redeem their Eligible Cards or partake in the Buyback Promotion.
  • 6.2. If an Eligible Card is redeemed it immediately becomes the sole property of the applicable participating retailer.
  • 6.3. Eligible Cards must be in fair condition with no large rips or major creases.
  • 6.4. Please note that where an Eligible Card is redeemed at participating third-party retailers or through an e-comm distributor, the issuance and use of any credit may be subject to its own terms and conditions. This may include restrictions on what the credit can be used for and how long it remains valid. Participants are advised to check such terms and conditions prior to redemption for full details. Please note that terms and conditions may vary from retailer to retailer.
  • 6.5. We accept no responsibility for entries or redemptions that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete.
  • 7. Data Protection
  • 7.1. Our use of any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be limited to communications about the Buyback Promotion and for managing the redemption process.  A copy of our privacy policy can be found here: https://uk.topps.com/pages/privacy-policy .
  • 7.2. To the extent any personal data is collected by a third-party retail store or redemption partner as part of the redemption process, we shall not be responsible for such data processing activities. Participants are encouraged to review the relevant third party’s privacy policy before providing personal data.
  • 8. General
  • 8.1. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the Buyback Promotion without prior notice if circumstances make this necessary.
  • 8.2. Should a Buyback Promotion be cancelled or terminated prior to the end of the advertised Promotion Period, redemption of Eligible Cards will be honoured if received by us before cancellation or termination in a way that is fair and equitable as determined by us.
  • 8.3. If any provision or part-provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Terms and Conditions.
  • 8.4. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If you are a resident in another country outside of England and Wales you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of, and legal rights available under, the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory local law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Buyback Promotion shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. This means that you may bring a claim to enforce your consumer protection rights in England or in your country of residence.
