2014 Topps Allen and Ginter #23 Snoop Lion [Dogg] Auto
Once upon a time, The Doggfather rebranded as Snoop Lion while promoting his reggae album /Reincarnated/. Topps Allen & Ginter commemorated the moment in its 2014 Entertainers set with the above card. The Snoop Lion era only lasted so long, and the platinum-selling rapper and world-renowned brand ambassador known as Snoop Dogg returned to his roots as one of the world’s favorite dogs. But we do have proof of the Snoop Lion era, but make it Allen & Ginter. I don’t know if the numbers are accurate, but as of 2023, he’s featured in at least one of every five major network commercials. I am not kidding.
2022 Topps Allen & Ginter National Dog Day IYSD-6
Glad nobody can see my eyes sweating from behind the keyboard. But look at the pup. They are so cute. The longing look in its eyes, the posture; don’t you want to take care of this dog? This is what a best friend looks like. Topps Allen & Ginter tugged at collectors’ hearts for National Dog Day 2022 with one of the most beautiful dog portraits in the known Dogosphere. It’s simply stunning.
2022 Topps Allen & Ginter Sen Dog Framed Mini Auto
As a founding member of Cypress Hill, Sen Dog broke barriers by crushing beats and spitting bars in the first Latinx hip-hop group to achieve platinum success. The Cuban-born, Los Angeles-bred emcee teamed up with his brother Mellow Man Ace, B-Real, and DJ Muggs to create a distinctive sound fusing metal with LA G-Funk. Sen Dog’s impact on hip-hop and the Latinx community reaches far beyond stages and festivals as he continues to use his platform to advocate for several social issues, including marijuana legalization – a true legend with his own Allen & Ginter card.
PS: B-Real and DJ Muggs are also members of the Topps A&G Fam.
2014 Topps Allen and Ginter #238 Bert Kreischer
Comedian Bert Kreischer’s obsession with dogs might be weird. But that’s the point of his comedy — he came to fame after penning an article in Rolling Stone about being a super-super senior (6th year) partier at the nation’s top party school at the time, Florida State. Allen & Ginter embraced the comedian’s craziness for canines in 2014 with the above card. The glare says it all. That’s a man who’ll do anything to protect his pup.
1888 Allen & Ginter N47 “Dog” Series for Virginia Brights Cigarettes
In 1888, Allen & Ginter released its N47 “Dog” series cards to help promote Virginia Brights Cigarettes. Like the other Allen & Ginter series of its time like “Flags of All Nations” and “Birds of America, “Dogs” highlighted several different breeds of the subject in focus. Locating these cards today is like finding snow in Los Angeles. Good luck.
