As successful as Michael Jordan was during his heyday on the court, 25-plus years later the NBA legend is achieving greatness in another space.

A 2003 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Signed Logoman card of Jordan sold at auction over the weekend for $2.928 million through Goldin. This 1-of-1 card is PSA graded authentic, with a 10 grade for the autograph in beautiful blue ink.

That breaks the record for the highest selling Jordan card ever. In 2021, a 1997-98 Upper Deck Game-Used Jersey Autograph card sold in a private transaction through Goldin for $2.7 million. That card is numbered to 23.

The Chicago Bulls superstar won six NBA championships during his illustrious career. The Logoman patch featured in the card was game-worn by Jordan.

Goldin founder and CEO Ken Goldin was thrilled with the record-setting sale.

“This is a monster sale, and I believe is the highest priced modern card sold in the past two years,” Goldin told Topps RIPPED. “I always said I personally thought it was the best Jordan card ever produced, and should be the most valuable. So, the fact it ended the auction as the most valuable Michael Jordan card of all time is very rewarding.”

Jordan holds the record for most expensive sports memorabilia piece ever sold at $10.1 million. In September 2022, Sotheby’s auctioned off Jordan’s jersey from Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals, during his “Last Dance” season with the Bulls.

The sale of Jordan’s coveted Logoman card was a long time coming.

“It’s a deal the consignor and I had been working on for four years,” Goldin said. “The consignor is very happy with the results.”
