Discover Her Hobby Origin Story
Mama Breaks, also known as Stephanie Garcia, shares how her Topps and Star Wars cards reflect her fearless passion for collecting. From Kylo Ren to Carrie Fisher’s SuperFractor, every piece represents focus, growth, and a connection to the stories behind the galaxy’s greatest icons.
Stephanie Garcia—better known in The Hobby as Mama Breaks—has opened countless packs for others. But when she turns to her own collection, she’s clear about where her heart lies. “Now I want to show you the most important pieces in my personal collection,” she says near the end of her I Collect video, shifting from breaker to collector with the same care she brings to every pull.
Mama Breaks and the Cards That Define Her Collection

The first card Garcia shares is her 2023 Topps Big League Baseball Hobby Influencer #HI-SM card, graded PSA 10 (her husband found and bought the card for her). Around it are cards that connect to meaningful milestones in her Hobby journey, including meeting players Randy Arozarena (2023 Topps World Baseball Classic International Gems #IG-4 Randy Arozarena Red Hot Foil /5), and Jac Caglione (2025 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto #CPAJCA Jack Caglione Blue X-Fractor /10), and her biggest Star Wars pull (2022 Topps Star Wars Masterwork Triple Auto #MWT-MPC Matthew Wood as General Grievous/Ian McDiarmid as Darth Sidious/Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader Wood /10). Each holds personal value, but the centerpiece of her collection belongs to the Star Wars universe.

“The heart of my collection is my Kylo Ren and Princess Leia,” Garcia says. She’s currently chasing Kylo Ren’s Dark Order rainbow from 2023 Star Wars Chrome Galaxy (2023 Star Wars Chrome Galaxy #56 Dark Order). She’s methodically assembling the parallels—“the atomic refractor,” “the X-Fractor,” “the red color match,” and “the SuperFractor.”

The Meaning Behind Focused and Fearless
Another favorite in Garcia’s collection is her 2021 Star Wars Galaxy Chrome Focused and Fearless Princess Leia cards. She says the title “really calls to how I try to stay in all of this — in cards and in building a business.”
For Garcia, the card’s message and rarity align perfectly. The phrase “Focused and Fearless” reflects both her approach to collecting and her growth within the trading card hobby — staying committed, learning the craft, and continuing to build on what she’s created.

Leia’s Legacy and the Carrie Fisher Autograph
Princess Leia remains a constant thread through Garcia’s personal collection. She pulls out a Leia-inspired artist card, 2022 Star Wars Galaxy Chrome #15 Battle with the Dianoga SuperFractor 1/1, explaining that the artist believed Leia was “the smarter, the wittier, and the manlier of her male cohort.” That vision of strength and individuality is what makes the piece meaningful to her.

Then she reveals what she calls her Princess Leia grail: 2018 Star Wars Finest Prime Auto #PACF Carrie Fisher SuperFractor 1/1. “This is the best part of my collection,” Garcia says. The autograph connects her love of Star Wars to the performer behind one of the saga’s most iconic figures.

A Growing Hobby and a New Generation of Collectors
Garcia also reflects on how much The Hobby has expanded since she began. “What continues to excite me about The Hobby is how many new people come into it every year,” she says. When she attended her first National Card Show, she “couldn’t find a woman collecting or even that many kids,” but seeing that change “is insane to see.” She adds, “As a parent, I know how amazing the feeling is to watch your child get excited, and you can very much bring that out in the form of cards. That’s what motivates me.”
True One of One
Across Garcia’s Star Wars personal collection, each card tracks her Hobby journey. Each piece marks progress, a reflection of focus, persistence, and purpose.
Together they tell one story: focused, fearless, and unmistakably her own.
