2024 MLB All-Star voting is underway as the league continues its two-phase voting system to elect the starters for this year’s game that will take place in Arlington, Texas on July 16. During Phase 1, fans are permitted to vote up to five times daily. Upon completion of the opening phase, the top vote-getter from each league will be awarded an automatic starting spot. Phase 2, in which voters can log their choices once per day, will determine the rest of the All-Star starters.

Yankee outfielder Aaron Judge currently leads the American League with 1,366,315 votes, MLB announced today. After finishing second to Shohei Ohtani last season, Judge leads the AL in HRs, RBIs, and OPS. Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper tops the National League list with 1,110,562 votes. Last year’s leading vote-getter Ronald Acuña Jr. is out for the season with a knee injury.

Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers comes in at third in NL voting, after finishing at the top of AL voting last season. Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout, MLB’s active leader in All-Star appearances with 11, has been on the disabled list since April 29. It is unknown whether Trout will even be back in action before the All-Star break.

While the MLB voting page lists one player per team at each position, as well as three outfielders, a “write-in” slot is available for fans who wish to vote in an unlisted player. Phase 1 voting ends on June 27 at noon EST.
