The 1993 Bowman Derek Jeter Rookie RC #511 was the belle of the ball in this set, for great reason. The 14-time All-Star is the only rookie in this 708-card set with a bust in Cooperstown—shame on the lone writer who left THE DEREK JETER off the ballot. Have I mentioned Jeter’s a Hall of Famer yet?

1993 Select Derek Jeter Rookie Card #360
Let me set the scene for this 1993 Select Derek Jeter Rookie Card #360. One out, in the bottom of the ninth, with a man on first and a grounder rolls to Chuck Knoblauch near second. After flipping the ball to Jeter, who steps on second base, Jeter leaps above the clouds to avoid a sliding runner and fires a rocket to first baseman Tino Martinez, completing a double play. And that’s it. That’s the ballgame and another save for Mariano Rivera. The 1993 Select Derek Jeter RC #360 took me back to those 90s Yankees days.

This Derek Jeter RC is the kind of card that makes you want to put on a tuxedo, hop in a time machine to the 90s and hit the ole NYC staple China Club with DJ and the gang.
Derek Jeter 1992 Little Sun High School Prospects Base #2
The Derek Jeter 1992 Little Sun High School Prospects Base #2 is not exactly a Rookie Card. But c’mon, how could I leave this off the list? The font looks straight out of the hit T.V. show In Living Color, and the card showcases a baby G.O.A.T. in his Kalamazoo Central threads. What more could you want? In his senior season with the Kalamazoo Central Giants, the sixth pick in the 1992 draft batted a whopping .508, earned Gatorade High School Player of the Year honor and commenced a legacy that’ll live in the hearts of baseball fans forever.
