Crowning the National Champions with Bowman U NOW
The 2026 Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball tourneys have come to a close. March brought us plenty of Madness, but April was no slouch either, delivering stunning conclusions to the Final Four games and national championships.
Now, collectors can add their biggest moments to their collections with Bowman U NOW Basketball, available for a limited time at Topps.com.
Bowman U NOW Basketball marks the end of the 2026 March Madness tournaments with cards celebrating the national champions on the men’s and women’s’ sides. Collect championship teams Michigan and UCLA, as well as standout stars like Morez Johnson Jr. and Gabriela Jaquez. Cards are available to order for a limited time at Topps.com.
The South Carolina Gamecocks had a tall order ahead of them in the Final Four in the form of the undefeated UConn Huskies. But if anyone could be ready to dominate, it’s a team led by the legendary Dawn Staley. And dominate they did.
Led by a double-double from senior Ta’Niya Latson, with an additional 14 points from freshman phenom (and two-time Bowman U NOW alum) Agot Makeer, South Carolina absolutely throttled the Huskies to the tune of 62-48.
The battle was not over for the Gamecocks, however, as they would face the 37-1 UCLA Bruins for all the marbles in the National Championship game in Phoenix. Unfortunately for SC, they walked into a buzzsaw made up of UCLA seniors giving it their all for one final time.
Coach Cori Close led her Lady Bruins to a decisive 79-51 victory, powered by senior Gabriela Jaquez’s double-double. Her 10 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists gave the program its first-ever national championship.
On the men’s side of the bracket, UConn upset the Duke Blue Devils in stunning fashion, while Michigan got the job done against Arizona. That left two powerhouses for the National Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The one-seed Wolverines faced off against the two-seed UConn Huskies in a physical slobberknocker.
Sophomore Wolverine Morez Johnson Jr. dropped 12 points and 10 rebounds in the game, helping Michigan take an early lead that they never let go of, despite the continued aggressive play from UConn. In the end, the Wolverine Marching Band was able to play “Hail to the Victors” with some extra gusto, as they delivered Michigan’s first title in 37 years.
It was an incredible season in NCAA basketball this year, with congratulations due to both Michigan and UCLA. And while the season may be over, it will be forever immortalized by Bowman U NOW.
See you next season!
