Cards From the Best QBs of the Decade
If the 1980s showed fans that seemingly impossible heroics through the air were consistently possible – the ’90s proved that this evolution into a passing league was no fluke. Dan Marino would continue racking up yards to a degree no one had seen before, and a top tier of dominating quarterbacks materialized. Usurping Joe Montana was Steve Young, who would utilize Jerry Rice and his own legs to rack up championship wins. Gunslingers like Brett Favre and John Elway would amass MVPs and championships, and perfectionists such as Troy Aikman would slice and dice opponents on the way to winning his titles.
Looking back, the league in the 1990s looked dominated by a handful of future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Thankfully, Topps was right there, printing some of the most valuable and interesting quarterback rookie cards of the era.
And now Topps has again honored these excellent players in the fantastic Composite Football 2023 and Topps Motif Football sets. It’s a mix of old, new, and forever iconic.
