When Rambo: First Blood Part II exploded into theaters in 1985, it turned a quiet, haunted drifter into a full-blown American action icon. Bigger, louder, and more explosive than its predecessor, the film redefined the action genre and solidified John Rambo as a symbol of raw, relentless power. The cultural impact was immediate, and Topps was quick to bring the action to collectors with a trading card set that captured the grit, muscle, and mayhem of Stallone’s second outing as the iconic Vietnam vet.

Released the same year, the Rambo: First Blood Part II Topps set featured 66 base cards and 22 stickers, loaded with intense film stills, fiery explosions, and close-ups of Rambo in all-out battle mode. Packs came with bubble gum and bold, fiery-red card designs.

Now, 40 years later, we’re celebrating the anniversary by showcasing some of the most memorable cards from the original set.
