If there was ever any doubt that Juan Soto would live up to expectations in his first season as a New York Yankee in 2024, it was blasted out of the park by the end of the team’s opening series in Houston in late March. The superstar right fielder was promptly named the American League Player of the Week on April 1 after going 9-17 (5.29) at the plate with one home run, four RBIs, one double, and two runs scored through his first four games. And his debut season with the Yankees hasn’t slowed down much since.

Soto’s 2024 is even more exciting as he graces the 2024 Topps Baseball Series 2 box top. Following Ronald Acuña Jr.’s appearance as the 2024 Series 1 cover athlete, Soto gets the nod for Series 2, and it should surely come as no surprise to any collector or baseball fan.

Playing on baseball’s biggest stage in the Bronx, and already an MVP candidate this season, the new Yankee is the perfect personification for all the greatness you’ll find inside Flagship’s Series 2. The 350-card set includes MLB stars, Rookies, Future Stars, auto and relic cards, and more. Returning for its second year, Golden Mirror Image Variations will feature all 350 base cards with a new image and a gold foil card back.

The 2024 Series 2 set marks the second time Soto has appeared as the Topps Baseball cover athlete, previously appearing on 2021 Series 1. Not bad for a guy that’s still only 25 years old.

2024 Topps Baseball Series 2 releases June 12 online at Topps.com and in store at your LCS.
